Is The Tick Crew licensed and insured in New York?
Yes. We hold New York State pesticide applicator credentials and carry general liability coverage, and we will send certificates before any commercial job. Licensing matters even with natural products, because New York regulates application, labeling and record-keeping regardless of whether a product is plant-derived.
Why does The Tick Crew only use all-natural products?
Because our customers live on the land they hire us to treat — they grow vegetables, keep chickens, raise kids and walk dogs across the same ground. Synthetic pyrethroids persist on surfaces and kill pollinators, which is a poor trade on a peninsula built around farming and wine. We accept a shorter product life and solve it with tighter scheduling and better habitat targeting.
Do you only work on the North Fork?
The North Fork is our entire service area, from Riverhead to Orient Point. Staying local means shorter drives, same-week scheduling, and technicians who already know which neighborhoods sit on deer corridors.
