The Tick Crew

Our Free Respray Guarantee, North Fork NY

This page explains our respray guarantee: what it covers, how to use it, and how fast we come back. It applies to every tick, mosquito and deer treatment we perform across the North Fork of Long Island — Riverhead, Aquebogue, Jamesport, Laurel, Mattituck, Cutchogue, Peconic, Southold, Greenport, East Marion and Orient.

It is written for homeowners who have been burned by a pest company that sprayed once and disappeared. The result: if activity comes back within two weeks of a visit, you call, we return, and there is no invoice for it.

  • See ticks or mosquitoes within 2 weeks? We respray free
  • No contracts, no claim forms — one phone call
  • Reinspection included, because a repeat usually means a missed source

Same-week service across the North Fork. No email required — we call you back.

How to use the guarantee

One phone call is the whole process. Tell us where on the property you are seeing activity and roughly when the last visit was, and we schedule the return trip on the spot.

  • Call us within two weeks of your last treatment.
  • Describe the area — tree line, play set, patio, dog run, garden bed.
  • We reinspect that zone and respray it, plus anything feeding it.
  • No charge, and it does not affect your next scheduled visit.

Why natural treatment needs a guarantee behind it

Plant-based actives break down in sunlight faster than synthetic pyrethroids. That is exactly why they leave no lasting residue on the grass your kids and dogs use — and it is also why weather can shorten a treatment's effective window.

Rather than reach for a harsher product, we tighten the cycle to three weeks in peak season and cover the gap with free resprays. The guarantee is how we make the natural approach practical instead of a compromise.

What a repeat usually means on North Fork properties

When ticks come back quickly, there is almost always an untreated source rather than a failed application. The common ones out here:

  • Leaf litter or a brush pile just over the property line against your fence.
  • A mouse colony under a shed, deck or woodpile that keeps producing nymphs.
  • A new deer path opened through a hedgerow after a neighbor's clearing work.
  • Untended standing water — boat cover, kayak, gutter, irrigation low spot.
  • Marsh or preserve land adjoining the yard that no one can treat.

The respray visit includes a second inspection precisely to find these, and we will tell you what you can change yourself even when it means fewer billable visits for us.

What the guarantee does not cover

It covers treated areas on your property. It does not cover ticks picked up hiking at Hallock State Park, a bite from a neighbor's yard, or a promise of zero pests — no honest company can offer that on an open, deer-visited landscape.

Read how our process works for what a normal season looks like, or call and describe your property and we will tell you what results to reasonably expect.

Respray guarantee FAQs

Coverage, timing, limits and what happens when a property needs more than one return trip.

What exactly does the respray guarantee cover?

If you see tick or mosquito activity in a treated area within two weeks of a visit, call us and we return and respray the affected zones at no charge. There is no form to fill out and no proof required beyond telling us where you are seeing them. It applies to every scheduled treatment on a seasonal program and to first-time treatments alike.

Why do you offer a free respray at all?

Because natural products trade some residual duration for safety, and North Fork weather is unpredictable. A wet week, a run of 90-degree days or a new deer path can undo part of a treatment. Rather than sell a longer-lasting synthetic, we absorb the extra visit — it keeps our incentives lined up with your yard actually working.

How fast can you get back out?

Usually within two to four business days, and often faster if a crew is already routed through your hamlet. Riverhead through Mattituck tends to be quickest; Greenport, East Marion and Orient are scheduled around our east-end route days. Call and we will tell you the honest date, not a placeholder.

Is there a limit on resprays?

No hard cap, but if a property needs repeated resprays we treat that as a diagnosis problem rather than a product problem. We will come back out, reinspect, and usually find an untreated source — a neighbor's leaf pile against your fence, a clogged gutter, a mouse colony under a shed. Fixing the source is the real answer.

Do I need a contract to get the guarantee?

No. There are no contracts at all. The guarantee covers whatever treatment you bought, whether that is one visit in July or a full April-to-October program.

Still unsure what your yard needs? Call 631-380-1736 and ask for a free walk-through quote — we answer tick questions even if you never book.

Customers who called us back — and were not billed for it

Every property below sits between Riverhead and Orient, so the habitat and the tick pressure look like yours.

We back onto preserve land in Southold and were pulling ticks off the kids every weekend. After the first treatment it basically stopped, and I never worry about what is on the grass because it is all plant-based.

Meghan R.Southold, NY

Our lab used to come in from the hedgerow with two or three ticks a week. The Tick Crew treated the tree line and the mouse runs along the shed. This whole season we have found one tick.

Dan K.Mattituck, NY

We host weddings and could not use anything harsh near the vines. They worked around our event calendar and sprayed early mornings. Guests sat in the grass all summer with no complaints.
