Why saturation beats a light perimeter mist
Ticks do not sit on open lawn waiting to be sprayed. They wait in leaf litter, along stone walls, under ivy and pachysandra, and in the shaded first twenty feet of the tree line. A handheld backpack sprayer wets the top of that vegetation and stops there.
We use mist blowers that carry droplets into and under the canopy, so the product reaches the humid layer where ticks actually survive. Same idea on the mosquito side: the underside of shrub foliage is where they rest through the day.
What we treat on a typical North Fork lot

What actually happens on the first visit?
A technician walks the property with you for ten to fifteen minutes, identifies the habitat driving your pressure, and quotes a firm price. If you approve it, the treatment itself usually happens the same visit or within the same week. Nothing is applied before you have a number in hand.
What ingredients do you use?
Plant-derived actives — cedarwood, rosemary, peppermint and geraniol oils, plus a garlic-based formula for deer work. They kill and repel on contact and then break down in sunlight and soil rather than persisting. We can tell you exactly what is going on your property before we spray, and we buffer treatment near vegetable beds, water and open blooms.
How long do we need to stay off the lawn?
Until it dries, generally 30 to 45 minutes depending on sun and wind. You do not need to leave the property during application. That is one of the practical advantages of natural products over synthetic pyrethroids, which typically call for longer re-entry intervals.
Why every three weeks instead of every eight?
Because natural actives degrade faster in UV light. That shorter residual is the trade-off for having no synthetic residue in a yard where kids, dogs and chickens spend the summer. Spacing visits three weeks apart in peak season keeps the treated habitat continuously hostile to ticks and mosquitoes.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Most customers start with one treatment, see the difference, then move onto the seasonal cycle. You can pause or stop at any point, and we will tell you honestly if your property does not need a full-season program.
